This site is a tribute to Doug. He lived a full and interesting life spending 48 of his 79 years with his beloved wife, Janet.

Between them they had 3 daughters, ran a village shop for 24 years and were huge parts of the Ventnor and St Lawrence Community, with Doug serving as Mayor of Ventnor twice.

Doug was also an engineer for many years and lived in and around Surrey, London and Hertfordshire before moving to the Isle of Wight…..twice!
